Statistics

Good statistical thinking turns data into decisions. Whether you need to design a study, analyse results, build a model, or communicate findings to stakeholders — we can help.

M2Lab CSDS offers statistical consulting to research institutions, universities, technology companies, healthcare organisations, and non-profits. Our work spans both Bayesian and frequentist approaches.

We also contribute pro bono through the Royal Statistical Society's Statisticians for Society programme — applying rigorous statistical methods to civic and social research where data can drive meaningful change.

Sample statistical visualisations — illustrating regression modelling and uncertainty quantification, the type of analyses M2Lab CSDS delivers.

Linear Regression

Observed data with OLS regression line — sample research data

Uncertainty Quantification

Model estimate with 95% confidence interval — sample forecast output

UNJUST — Stop & Search Analysis

RSS Statisticians for Society

Statistical analysis of racial disparities in police stop-and-search practices across England & Wales (2020/21–2024/25). Commissioned through the Royal Statistical Society's Statisticians for Society programme for UNJUST. Methods include Poisson regression, population-normalised rate modelling, and reproducible reporting via Quarto.
